Our owner, James Goffe, holds both a Juris Doctorate (JD) from Ohio Northern University with a concentrations in taxation and business organizations and a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration (BSBA) from Bowling Green State University with a specialization in accounting.

James has 20 years of experience in accounting, finance, and taxation. James has performed accounting rolls for local governments and nonprofit organizations, including serving as a City Finance Director. Additionally, James has six years of experience performing financial audits of local governments in Ohio as staff auditor for the Ohio Auditor of State.

James has the unique experience of managing and interacting with federal grant funding from all sides: grantor, grantee, auditor, and consultant. Working for the Crime Victim Services division of the Ohio Attorney General, James was a Fiscal Evaluator for the pass-through grantor of Victim of Crime Act (VOCA) funding to Ohio local governments and nonprofits. Both as a City Finance Director and working directly for nonprofits, James handled financial management of and applications for federal grant funding. Working from the Ohio Auditor of State, James performed Single Audits of federal grant spending by local governments. Working for Witt O’Brien’s, James worked with state and local governments throughout the United States to implement, monitor, and audit federal grant programs and improve policies and procedures.
